Course Syllabus

Course Description: This course investigate the history of the United States from World War II to the present. Students will be able to identify significant people and events. Students will analyze primary and secondary documents that have shaped America’s recent era.

Grading Policies:

-Grades will be posted weekly with some exceptions such as projects, term papers, etc. that require multi-week instruction

-Grading percentages shall not be rounded until the final grading period for the course (semester or year long)

-When rounding is appropriate, the teacher shall round up to the next grade level, only when the current grade is within .50 of the next letter grade.

-LATE ASSIGNMENTS: Submissions of assignments after the listed due date are designated late. Assignments may still be submitted up to 1 week past the end of the unit of study. Late assignments are automatically deducted 2% per day and a student can lose up to 30% of the assignment's grade on late submission.

MISSING ASSIGNMENTS: Missing assignments are listed as a zero. This assignment is regraded if the assignment is submitted within the late assignments window.
